On the 9th of December 2023, our Duu outreach came alive. We gifted smiles to the whole community of Duu. We drove 16 hours, 40 minutes to Sisaasala East in the Upper West region. We gifted stationery, footwear, mosquito nets, story books, juices, biscuits, chalewote, clothing for men, women, children and babies, clothing for new mothers and expectant mums. the highlight was feeding 300 children. Our talks wasnt left out. We educated the community on the importance of education, sexually transmitted diseases, rural-urban migration, entrepreneurship and women's empowerment.

On August 12th, 2023, we changed the narrative again. This literally gives smiles. Together with Corlis, an American expert in dental hygiene, in our team and assisted by our able Ghanaian health workers, we reached out to the children of Amuzukope, a suburb of Kasoa, in a dental care outreach. The team engaged them in talks and activities that made the day fun. We polished, cleaned, scaled, and extracted over 30 decayed teeth. We also gave out toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, food, and juice to every child who came. We gifted smiles.

An emergency outreach that took us less than two weeks to go to their rescue, as a viral video of these children writing in the sand was shown to us. We quickly had to get some boards, stationery, sanitary towels and some snacks. Took us 10 hours 57min to reach these children and gift them smiles.

Monica is a 14-year-old girl who was put in the family way by a relative she was staying with in her quest to pursue education. At 7 months, the relative was still trying every means to abort the baby. Her first antenatal was when we came into the picture at 7 months, two weeks. Monica had a difficult birthing experience as her pelvis was too small to push out. From 10 am to 1 am, she still couldn't deliver, and the baby at that time had become caput succedaneum, and we had to rush her to the trauma hospital an hour and 16 minutes away around 1:46 am to deliver baby Nathan (yes, that's what we named him) via C/S. We tried to enrol the once brilliant Monica back in school, but she was too shy of the stigmatisation she opted for skill training.

During COVID-19, school was halted, and learning became difficult. Once the numbers came down, we decided to take the school to them. We had our talks on adolescent reproductive health, sexually transmitted diseases, the importance of education, rural-urban migration, and of course, we finished off with some food and drinks amidst educational games.
